Default new to me early post war 38/44 Outdoorsman

S69534, shipped October 1946, the third month of production. all matching numbers including grips. doesn't appear to have been shot much. picked it up at a small local show last weekend. haven't owned one of these for a long time. enjoy. Lee

I'll try to find a pic and list SN's of my transitional OD an HD when I get home.
I have one each (6 total) pre-war, transitional and 5-screw short action ODs and HDs.

Pic as promised. I've swapped the incorrect grips on the short action OD to sharp shoulder early style.

The transitionals are:

OD S71122

Nice score! A long-action K or N frame with a microclick rear sight is just about my favorite S&W configuration.

i just picked 1 up. a prewar 38/44 target with S&W emblem on the left side instead of on the side plate. serial # 41xxx
