Default Questions regarding Triple Lock

Been watching a 4” nickel triple lock on one of the auction sites I that I’m sure has not gone unnoticed by some here. It is lettered as leaving the factory with a 4 inch barrel with a nickel finish. It has been refinished. The only makings that I have seen are on the grip frame. They are “2.22” ( the dot is in the same place as a dash would be). Cannot make out whether the third lock is case colored or has been nickel plated. Have a question into the seller as to whether he can confirm that it is or is not a factory refinish. Want to thank all for any opinions they may render…..Lou

Absolutely positively refinished.

And this is since the factory work from February of 1922.

Note weak Smith & Wesson logo on sideplate.
Note poor fit of sideplate.
Note nickeled (should be case coloured) trigger, cam and hammer.
Note weak barrel markings and/or inconsistency in depth of barrel markings.
Note the new/too polished look of this revolver and inconsistency in the nickel among adjacent components.
