Default Fun collection- Pre 27’s. All barrel lengths in Nickel

Pre 27 revolvers in original Nickel finish are scarce and hard to find. I have been fortunate to score all barrel lengths over many years of searching. These include 3.5”, 5”, 6” (two examples shown), 6.5” & 8.375”. I hope these are fun to see for those interested.

Very nice, love the blue fs on nickel barrel.
I know there were small runs of 4" pre 27 five screw guns, were any ever made in nickel?

Great collection! Thanks for sharing. Wish I could stay that focused....I tend to bounce from toy to toy, depending on what catches my interest.

Fun indeed! I have most of the pre-27 barrel lengths but all in blue. Don't know when the last time was I saw a nickel one for sale locally. Very nice! Seems like at least one of them ought to be engraved though. . . . .

Good Question. I am not aware of any Pre 27’s in a 4” barrel length in Nickel that have surfaced. The 4” barrel was not offered as a standard barrel length at the time. The 4” barrel was a special order. I have only ever seen them in a blued finish. Here is a photo of mine. I would be interested to hear if anyone has seen a Nickel one.

Thats a dream collection. I have, and had some really nice stuff, and would have LOVED to add those to my own collection at one point.

I'm just a sucker for Nickel!
How long did it take you to put that collection together?
Please share any other interesting details if there are any..

I've also never seen a 4 inch 357 magnum in Nickel either.

Happy Easter!

I really enjoy seeing a nickel gun with a black front sight.

What a great group of guns. A 5" nickel M27 is certainly on my wish list.

I was almost expecting one of them to have a red post sight.

Luvsmiths, like 25 - 30 years? Nothing super interesting about these. However, here’s a model marked 27 with a 6.5” barrel in Nickel shipped to Gil Hebard Guns, a prominent supplier to Bullseye shooters. With a cool screwdriver marked “Gil Hebard”. Also a scarce gun in Nickel.

Now you're talking. What a terrific collection! We definitely need to see more of those in closeups sometime.

Congratulations on finding and acquiring all 5 of the standard cataloged nickel Pre 27's!

I've been trying to put together all ten Pre 27's - 5 blue and 5 nickel and I'm down to needing a 6" and 8 3/8" nickel. One day ......

I have a 6-1/2" 357 in nickel. I can't imagine finding all of those in less that a decade and can't imagine affording them if I did at this point in time.

Amazing collection...

Karl:

Love both the nickel and the engraved collection!!! Makes me wish that you'd decide you needed more room in your safe to focus only on 44 Magnums, so you needed to liquidate that 357 Magnum collection, and I was the first person on your speed dial.

Jeff:

I could not agree more... I love it when KSK posts some of his collection. That 6.5 two-tone German engraved Magnum was one of my favorite guns at last summer's Symposium... but I only took one photo of it... what was I thinking?

KSK - Thanks for sharing!

I have never seen a nickel 4" factory pre 27 either and I try and keep on top of them... All of the 4"ers that I know about are listed in this thread:

Very nice, I have all the blue ones but just one nickel, a 6.5". Would love to have them all but I expect to run out of money or time!
