Default Smith&Wesson Hand Ejector Triple Lock 455 british and its holster

As in the previous post I'll start the discussion here.
Here is another revolver that I would like to find the right holster to match, an Hand Ejector, Triple Lock MK1, 455 caliber, serial number 3270.
I found this one complete with belt and shoulder strap, so I ask your knowledge whether I can consider it suitable or not for my revolver.

Marcello, A beautiful TL, and the holster is very interesting. Unfortunately, I have little knowledge on the proper hoslster. I have been seeing Turnerriver's guidance on a holster for a TL that I own. The selection out ther is pretty low. Happy hunting!

Very cool gun. The holster/belt/shoulder strap combo looks period correct but you will not find a single proper style; my recollection is the leather gear had to be individually and privately purchased. If it fits your "enne-frame" I'd buy it!

The complete holster belt and shoulder strap is found in the States and the seller has no revolvers to test, now I take the measurement between the muzzle and the heel of the stock, if it doesn't protrude from the flap I try to negotiate the price a bit $350 per dark is a bit risky...

Can't help with the holster but that is one great revolver. Would love to have it.

That looks like a British officer's holster and Sam Browne belt. IIRC, the holster for the "other ranks" aka NCOs had a half flap or just a strap over the top.

I believe it was sold by the Army & Navy Stores:

As I understand the British did not have a standard holster for these, but used whatever would fit the revolver.

Here is a generic Army-Navy Stores holster. This is the one that my TL was carried in through WW1.

Fantastic post, thank you.
The rear stamp, says the the shop was located in Victoria St, found it in the link of the Army & Navy stores that you have posted. Thanks
Now I must appure if the TL fits in, I hope the seller will be collaborative to take the measurements.
