Hello all,
I stopped by one of my local gun shops today for the first time in a year or more. I have not been real active lately. Anyway I stopped to pick up a couple replacement sling shot bands and this caught my eye.
I looked a little closer and paid the man real quick. Look what was in the bag!
I got them home and sure enough they didn't fit any of my K frames but they were a nice fit for
my pre war 38-44 Outdoorsman.
These kind of finds suck me right back to this board and my S&Ws!

Great find. It reminds me of a few years back, when I was at a gun show in Springfield,MA.
Some guy had 5 original pairs of K-Frame Service Square-Butt Diamond Grips for sale at $10.00 a pair.
The condition was almost new. Needless to say, I bought them all!

Mike,
I guess I should'nt have read the marking on the bag that said K square, I needed to look at the pictures of the inside of the grips.
My bad.

That sure is one great find!
I can relate. Be careful, there are a few forum members out there who might hunt you down for those grips.
Seriously, congrats.

That was a great find. I hope you did not stray down too far into my neck of the woods, ha, ha.
I thought I did well lately on the $75 grip adapter and the $100 pre war sight adjuster
Good for you
Gary

Awesome finds there Gary. I've found pre war N frame service grips as well as K frame Ropers and assorted diamond magnas as well as a black pre war Colt 1911 box at the show where your pre war sight adjustment was found. Let's just hope that there aren't too many more like us scouring the junk boxes!

Thanks for any consideration.

Pete; You need to read closer. These are for them Great Big "N" Framer not one of them Middle of the Road "K" Framers so they ain't gonna do you any good on your K-32 project. Mike

Is that an original prewar ziplok bag. . Very nice find on a very nice gun. They appear to be in great shape and probably have at least another 75 years in them. Congrats!

I believe those are Roper (Walter Roper) grips. Very desirable and collectable (and usually very expensive)!!! Great find!
