The oldest one that I own and shot would be my first model .32 Hand Ejector, and at 15 yards it will hold a 3 inch group.

Shot my Dads .38 double action 3rd model yesterday, made in the 1880's. Also shot my .32 saftey's and my .22 Ladysmith and Bekeart with the new 4 inch target barrel I just installed.

The oldest S&W I've ever fired is my 2nd Model American, Commercial Russian Model, shipped in 1873. I've also fired a 2nd Model Schofield shipped in 1876 and a NM#3 shipped in 1880. Here's a photo of the 2nd Model American ....

This thread was active before my time, but now that it is active again, I inherited a Model 1 Second Issue, vintage 1863 or 4, and have shot a couple of dozen rounds of CB Caps through it. I can consistently hit the berm with it.

Here two earliest of mine I have shot, each with its different little story.
New Model 3 .44 Russian I bought in France 1950, took it to Africa Belgian Congo, shot at a leopard at 100 yards & missed, shot over a house burglar to speed him on his way, shot a civet, a dog-like animal about 50 pounds, yellow with spots, at night by car lights looked like a leopard.
DA .44 Russian, Bought it ca.2005 good bore & function but distressed outside, I dolled it up some and reamed it so I can shoot .44 Specials.

The oldest one I've shot is my model 25-2. Now I did get to hold a Colt Patterson Revolver and clean a #3 Russian awhile back. Was really feeling giddy that day as I was wondering where this #3 Russian had been and where it had been used. I've got to tell you it was the most fun I've ever had cleaning a gun. The Patterson was a museum quality firearm. Simply awesome. A day I wont ever forget thats for sure.

Mod 1 1/2 (CF) shipped Aug. 1887. .32 S&W. It was surprisingly accurate, keeping all in a 3" group at 10 yards. I figure it would actually do better if I could have seen the teeny sights a little better.
