I was hoping someone could help me Identify this revolver. It is a Smith & Wesson .32 Long CTG SER# 320XXX. I can post pictures if someone will advise how. The gun has Pearl grips, and the blueing is almost all gone. Any idea on Value?

Quick glance in my SCSW 3rd ed says most likely .32 Hand Ejector 3rd Model. Looks like the 1903's. Or it could be a Regulation Police very similar gun but there is a step cut in the backstrap for longer grips. Or it could possibly be a K framed M&P. To post pics you need to host them on the internet with a host like Photobucket then copy the IMG link into the post. Pics would make it easier for those who really know about these to identify.

Do the pearls have S&W logos?

I will go with the .32 HE 3rd. It appears to have had the barrel shortened, (The markings aren't centered) and the grips are a later addition. (They aren't a good fit.) From what I think I see it looks like the front sight is on a dovetail.
All in all, not a very desirable gun unless the bore and timing are good. Then only as a shooter.
Another thing, in the close-up of the cylinder there is what could be a crack in the forcing cone portion of the barrel. (or maybe just a scratch.)

Value?? Depends on mechanical condition and then probably no more than $100 give or take.

I think you are correct on the barrel, I notice when looking closer that there are pat.#'s and is looks as though the front sight is covering some of them. A lady I work with wants to sale it, so I was trying to get info and value for her. Thanks for info.

n2:
Honestly, if I had $50 in my pocket, I wouldn't be interested in that gun. Too many potential issues.

I am thinking about the same. I may just sell as a parts gun, or use as a paperweight!

To me it always raises a warning flag when I see missing sideplate screws.
