A friend owes me $600 and wants to give me a 1933 made Outdoorsman 6 1/2". 80% blue, excellent action and bore. Old stag grips. Is that about right price wise?

Hard to say without seeing it, but if the stags are real and its in good mechanical shape I'd do it. Hell, he may never pay you the cash!

In good mechanical shape I'd grab it... probably around a $800+ gun these days...unless something is bad wrong with it.

Real N frame stag grips will bring well over $100 alone.

FWIW

Chuck

I would most assuredly go for that deal. The 38/44 Outdoorsman is one of my all time favorite guns. I finally found one about a year ago and paid about a grand. Coincidently I just won a auction on GB (#97191619) for one with matching grips for only $555.91. From the pics (I haven't received it yet) I wouldn't rate it any higher than about 80% but am tickled pink at the price. I would have paid more. I like size, the caliber and the looks. Yes Sir, I'd take that gun in trade if I were you.

Roger
