Default Baby Chief #99 Changed Hands

During the Riverton, WY collector show Baby Chief #99 changed hands after 10 years.
Sasaberanger (Old Chief) passed the Baby Chief over to Twobit Cowboy. It went from old Chief Thom Braxton (USN-RET) to my good friend young Chief Bob Townsend (USAF-Ret) along with all of the remaining I frame goodies I had.
I am redirecting some of my collection interests and cutting down on the amount of goodies I never shoot. This comes after the realization that I ain't getting any younger and two serious health issues in the past two years.
I know it went to a good home and will be in good company with Bob's other S&Ws.
Bob also picked up some other interesting pieces this weekend while I ended up with a unfired NIB 14-3 (8K serial number).
There were more pieces of interest than there was money to bring them home.
Attendance was really poor at this show, and sales were nonexistent, but a good time was had by all.
Chief Bob, enjoy your new toys.

That Twobit Cowboy is cleaning us old timers out of the good ones.

At least they're staying in Wyoming.

Sometimes there comes a time when we have to start letting go of some things that have meant a lot to us.

Even though I hate you had to let go of the Baby Chief, like you, I'm glad it went to a good home, to someone who will appreciate it.

Thanks Chief Thom, for 99, all the other I and Baby J-frame goodies, and the SWCA journals. An honor and a responsibility to have them all. "Young Chief," huh? Thanks for that, too.

Thanks, also, to those who replied here and sent emails of congrats before I even saw Thom's post. Great community.

Three of my sales at the show went to forum members, and both of my purchases (Baby Chiefs 99, August '51 and 6855, August '52) came from forum members. Great community!

Another forum member gave me his granddad's cigarette lighter with the Pennsylvania Railroad logo on one side and a photo and commemorative date of the retirement of the last PRR steam engine on the other to pair with my recently acquired PRR Police Chiefs Special from February 1956 (also from a forum member). I don't mind being repetitive just this once: Great community!

Photos soon.

Cheers!
