My 1951 38/44 Outdoorsman with Thumbrest grips from the 70s (maker unknown).

I refinished them with Tru-oil.

RKmesa, Keith Brown grips are'nt stocks....: they are masterpieces! Outsiders.

Yes, I like thumbrest grips but only for slow fire bullseye shooting. I seldom have them on any revolvers, as I find I still need to shift my hand to cock the hammer for timed and rapid fire. Mostly I have them on my semi auto's that I compete with.
This is my IZH 35 M I shoot in bullseye leagues.
The grips are made by Arnie Vitarbo, who specializes in target grips for International shooting and bullseye.
This is the IZH 46 M Air Pistol for 10 Meter competitions. I did a slight modification, but are basically original.

If I could get a pair for a left hander I would like them a lot better. I do like to use them when shooting with my off hand.

I don't shoot them on my revolvers or semi-autos; except for my Ruger and I really like them on it
