I have a friend who a 4" K frame pre M15 with Ser#2821xx, with the numbers P 6A002 7 under the crane. Can anyone tell me the approx age for this. He got it in 1968 from an Army Capt and it has Stag grips. It is one of those firearms that probably has a lot of stories, if only it could talk! Thanks for replies in advance.

A Pre-15 would be '50 to '56. Go to the FAQs and on page 5 is a year/date list to get an exact year. It should have a K-prefix s/n if it is a pre-15/Combat masterpiece.
