I don't think the SNs go that high for the Combat Masterpiece.

K220xxx is a 1954 serial number. Factory stocks would most likely be the Magna type, unless target stocks were ordered. At that date, they would have the diamond at the screw location, would have the more sloping shoulder and would be squared off at the bottom (not PC Magnas).

Out of curiosity, is this a .22 Combat Masterpiece or a .38 Combat Masterpiece?

38 SPC.

I had a pair of new sharp shoulder stocks but I moved last year and they disappeared. What would they have gone to?

Sharp Shoulder Magna grips would typically be found on postwar guns until around 1952-53. There were also prewar Magnas of the same general design, but with some recognizable differences. Those are highly desirable. Target stocks were special order extra cost options for the CM at that time.

This is correct. To put a finer point on it, they came on all the K frames in that period, whether the gun had fixed sights or adjustable sights.

Sometimes you can study the serial number stamped on the inside and puzzle out which model they shipped on. But there is some overlap between C numbers and K numbers, so that will usually stump you.

They were made for the N frames as well, but I know less about those.
