I read and re-read it on vacation, seems like a fun shooting gun. Something else for me to look for.

They are a lot of fun to shoot. I have a Marlin 1892CL, a Winchester 1892 Takedown, and a HE from 1920. The only problem is, they vary quite a bit in strength, so I have to keep reloads separate.

The .32-20 is in my top five favorite cartridges. Just the ticket for plinking or hiking when one wants center fire capabilities beyond a .22 rim fire. Hand loaded with cast bullets over a dab of Unique or your favorite medium to fast burning pistol propellant it is inexpensive and satisfying.

I have a Winchester Model 1892 saddle ring carbine and a Hand Ejector from about 1930. Some years ago I satisfied my curiosity about high velocity .32-20 capabilities in a rifle with more ambitious hand loads. It's easy to duplicate M1 Carbine ballistics with the .32-20 in a suitable rifle. After the experimentation I decided to just use it at it's old poky original style velocities so as not to have to segregate my .32-20 ammunition.

A very pleasant cartridge to shoot. I must admit, however, that my sole .32-20 is a Colt.

Messing around with some other photos, thought I would post this one.
