I think that was the title of a TV show and the comic book spin-offs from the 1950's.
Jace and his partner had what looked like .38-44 Heavy Dutys or 1950 .44 Specials.
Does anyone recall the show, and if they ever said if their guns were .44's?
I think Texas DPS may have issued .38-44's then, and they could have gotten the idea from them.

TexasStar, you're thinking of "Tales of the Texas Rangers," a radio serial that was adapted for TV. Retired Captain Manuel "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas served as a consultant to the producers.
The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame's website has a few mentions of it under the "Ranger Dispatch" online magazine. Another source would be retired Panola College history professor Bill O'Neal. He just published a book called Reel Rangers: Texas Rangers in Movies, TV, Radio, and Other Forms of Popular Culture.

Thanks. That is the right show!
But does anyone know if they carried .44's?
