I just picked up a Smith & Wesson at local show .Yes I know you cant find anything but Jerky at shows ,so i need help what is it don't think it is jerky

It is a late pre-war (1940?) .38 Military & Police. Have a look at the inside of the right stock panel for the SN; these are pretty valuable pre-war Magnas if the number matches. Nice finish on those pre-war guns. Enjoy!
