Default Target Hammer and Trigger
Folks,

What exactly are "target hammers" and "target triggers" on S&W revolvers? Serriated, thicker, thinner or just what?

I own a Model 15-4 and would like to know if it came equipped with such things.

Sorry for the simple question, but I cannot find much on the web on this particular subject. Thanks for your time.

Hi, Target hammers and triggers are much wider than the standard hammer and trigger. This makes t wasier to cock the hammer and you can have more finger on the trigger giving you a more consistant trigger pull.

Several model 15's have them. I have a 2" model 15 that has them. I like them as they do what they are supposed to do.

triggers can be .400 wide, .500 wide serrated, or .400 wide smooth. hammer spurs are .500 wide i believe. there may be some variations to these.
