Don't give much credence to TV depictions of the law, or anything else that has any seriousness. When my wife watches one of the flavors of Law and Orders (she's a serious fan), I make her crazy with my commentaries on how just about everything is done wrong. Same with cop shows, especially in their depictions of shots fired incidents. I'm sure that folks with a fire background had comments about "Emergency", and medical folks about all the medical shows of the last 35 or so years.

Yes. Sometimes art is just as poorly performed as real life.
