i picked up a super nice 28-2 today sn range n 227xxx 4in with only the slightest of a drag line, no evidence of -firing on the forcing cone or cylinder face, perfect magnas, that was the fastest 450 i ever pulled out of my pocket.

happy with my first n frame,

Model 28's seem to find me even though I am not a particular fan of 357's. Dont get me wrong they are great guns and I use one as my truck gun. I bet I have bought 12 of those guns this year. Only have 4 of them left.

Guess maybe I might be a 28aholic

Just found a 28-2 at a gun show myself today...I've been wanting a nice N-Frame Smith, but didn't expect to purchase one today...I'm very happy over this one...not a great pic, but this is what I took tonight:

I love the 28. Owned four of them at one time. I'm down not to a 4" model, but it's one of my favorites. I can remember just fifteen years ago when guys used to sneer at the used 28's sitting in gunstores. I was one of them. Not anymore.

I think the 28 is one of the best deals on the market. Same functionality, and balance of a 27 w/o the price.

A 4" 28-2 rode on my hip most of my time in uniform and was my stakeout and raid gun as a detective.

After about 15 years without one, I gave in to another with honest wear about 2 years ago and gave it a 6" playmate this summer.

The last sleeper N-frame. The first one cost me $150 new. The last 2 have bracketed double that amount. All were worth every penny.

Congrats ky wonder. I bought my first 28-2 this year as well, and I really love it. I was hoping to get a 6" bbl 28, but this 4" bbl 28 was too good of a deal to pass up. I don't regret getting this bbl length at all. It shoots great. Good luck with yours, and welcome to the forum.

Just bought one two months ago. Mine is a 1967 to 1968 production. After the first trip to the range I discovered that my 28 shoots 357 magnums better than any of my other revolvers. Less recoil and shoots very accurately.

ky wonder, I too was at Cave City and I am sure I saw your 28-2. I picked it up and it looked good but on that same table was a 15-1 and K-frames fit my small hands better than the N-frames. The 15-1 looks unfired therefore I got it and left the 28-2 for you. Hope you enjoy the 28-2.
