Default "That Gun Shoots Good...Must Be A S&W...

Snuck out to the range this morning, before the wife could bug me about raking the leaves (again...).
This was my third trip with my four inch Model 15-3. Previously, I shot pretty well with this revolver, but today, I was really on.
I was shooting Winchester white box 130gn FMJ flat points, which a local Walmart happened to have a good stock of in 100rd boxes. Started shooting at paper targets at 25 yds, and I was putting them all in the black.
Switched to some Winchester 125gn JHP +P, which the same Walmart also had, and I was hitting just as well with them.
I moved over to the part of our range which has silouettes and steel plates. The plates are about the same size as the 25yd paper bullseye, and are the same distance out.
After six rounds of BANG-PING, a nearby shooter said "That gun shoots pretty good...it must be a Smith and Wesson"
I love my Model 15!

I like this 15-2 but the wife and I don't really shoot it enough to get good with it. We go from one gun to another - that's the only bad thing about having too many guns.

The M15 certainly is a primo firearm!

+1, amd6547.

It was 66 degrees today and sunny; nice weather for November 8th up north here. I hit the outdoor range with a 4" Model 57 and a just-acquired 4" 617. I shot up all my "outdoor" .41 ammo (6.6 Unique/220 gr cast SWC) and ran two boxes of Federal .22 LRs through the 617. Great fun.

The Model 15 K-38 Combat Masterpiece is certainly well named. It's everything you could really want in a premium .38 Special without anything silly or unnecessary.

I even like the stainless ones!

S&W Model 67, Model 15 and 2-inch Model 15
