Default Ball park price on shooter Model 53

Tomorrow I will be looking at a 6 inch Model 53 drilled and tapped with Bushnell scope. No box or inserts, no idea of grips or number of screws...comes with 200 new brass and dies. Anyone willing to speculate on price range? Thanks Charlie

$600.00? It's value is only that of a shooter.

Just for show and tell, here is mine. I have the original grips stashed.
They are a real blast to shoot. I have dyes, but havent shot it much.

Okay... this is what I bought...sorry no picture...One 6 inch Model 53 in good shape bluing wise. No rear sight, but does have a 2 x Leupold with Buhler rings mounted. Herrett stocks or grips. One Georg shoulder holster, 200 pieces of brass and new set of dies. Private sale. 350.00.
Now I will need to find some grips...I believe I have some in a goody box and a rear sight and yes I am smiling.

I had purchased a LNIB model 53-2 6 inch with inserts, no LR Cylinder, paid $950.00 for it. Then later found it had been drilled and tapped, I was told it lost 40% of it's value, and that was LNIB. If your looking at a shooter Jet, to me $600.00 is way high. I sold the LNIB 53-2 without the box etc, but with inserts for $550.00 shipped. I felt I was lucky to find someone that wanted the scope option, also in my opinion this gun was still worth the value of it's parts, so if its a shooter, more in the $400.00-$500.00 range.
You can pick up shooter jets that have not been modified for slightly more, without box etc, but at least it would be of interest to more people when you sold it.

Don't care much for the scope thing but for $350 I'd bought it, esp. with everything you got.

Talking You stole it!

For that kind of money the seller should be filling out a police report.
