Pic and info request: Behlert rear sight.

Recently I learned the existence of the Behlert rear sights. On this forum I find only one picture.
I would like to know better how these look on a revolver and would like to know more about them.
Are there different types? Are they to be preferred above a Millet target sight for target shooting? (on a 686)
