Default My Chiefs Special

So I just got this extremely nice gun on mon. A 3 " model 36-1 It may have never been fired and is in excellent shape-as well as the box. I cant wait to shoot it. It has such a lovely blued luster to it. The guys grandfather bought new in 1978 for his wife who never used it...has sales receipt as well. Sure is a nice guns..sw seem addicting!!

What do you guys think?

It's beautiful. 32 years old and it's essentially new. Amazing. Nice gun, congrats.

Square butt with 3" heavy barrel is one of my personal favorites.
Congratulations on a great find!

That looks nice with the aluminum. I cant decide which color to go with, brass might look cool with the bluing and black hip grips...hmmm?

That 3" M36 is a very nice gun. Did you know they made some with adjustable sights. I really like the Tyler T grips I have them on several of my J and K frame guns. I don't know anything about the clip grip. Don

Apparrently the guy bought 2 at the same time and inks kinda faded, but price was $225-so not sure if that was for both or just the one.

My goodness...I am so jealous. I stumbled across a nice 3913 when not looking and bought it. I wish it were your M36-1 instead. She's a keeper!

Hello lamina,

It's quite a beauty what you got there. exactly in 1978 I bought my first handgun - a mod. 36 with square butt and three inch tube.
It was so accurate, easy to carry - and one of the worst things I ever did was to sell it.
Perhaps you know, but in Germany we have gun laws of dubious intelligence. As a hunter, you are not allowed to own more than two handguns, so if you have two and "fall in love" with a third gun, might be because of the caliber, barrel length or whatever, you have to sell or al least give away one .
Congatulations to you and your gun, you brought kind of tears to my eyes and made me dream about those good old days when I was 21.

Best regards from Germany

Hello again,

no t-grip, no barami, I had a barami and once I got out of my car, I heared a strange sound - my ciefs loosened and went down inside my pants....

Try the small grips from Nill and a good holster.

Yours

Wisent

So i got to fire this beauty yesterday..WOW!!! I was just shooting fmj umc ammo and it was oh so smooth and accurate. Shot only couple cylinders at 20 yds--man what a sweet gun and very accurate. I am so glad I grabbed up this beauty!!!
(stonehorses)Probably no more new guns for a while as just got a 4" 500 sw few months ago-so this was my second sw!

Congrats on the nice revolver
Mine is a standard barrel version and has a fair amount of finish wear, but it is definitely a sweet shooter.
