You can’t find a ratty S&W 10 for less than $400.00 in my area. The one you posted looks real good.

$460 OTD is more than fair. It’s a classic revolver in fabulous condition, what’s not to love?

If that is the original finish, that's probably more of a $500-$600 revolver, so you did quite well.

Shows no signs of a refinish

There's nothing but love for the model 10.
The model 10-5 served with distinguished service on the hip of many police officers.
$460 is a great price.

Beautiful revolver! I've never found a 5" gun in my area. I would've been all over that deal-great find! Enjoy :-)

You might want to consider buying a lottery ticket, see if your good luck continues.

Looks a lot like the Smith & Wessons I trained on way back in the day. Well, except the ones I trained on were ex-Air Force AP revolvers with a lot of holster wear. And the one I was originally issued actually jammed - refused to turn. Or open. The replacement functioned.
Nice, classic gun in phenomenal condition.
