My 28-2 is returning to me!
I picked up this 28-2 a few years ago but sold it earlier year -- you know the deal, sell something to buy something else. Most guns that I've sold (and I've sold a bunch) I don't miss (except for my M&P40 that I just had to replace after selling) but I kind of missed this one -- it was my last N-Frame. Well, what do I see advertised for sale last night but my 28-2, by the person I sold it too! I spoke with the him today, worked out a price that everyone's happy with and it'll be returning to me probably late next week. And this time I won't sell it -- promise!
Here's how it looked when I bought it:
Here's how it looked just before I sold it:

They're Ahrends Retro Target grips in moradillo. I like the look on the 28-2 -- not too flashy, and they feel like they were custom made for my hands.

Good deal !
I got my 19 back much the same way.
It looks like the gun is on a piece of wood on snow ?

Indeed it is -- I got it originally on December 23, 2007 and had to take a picture right away.

Just remember to move it before you run the snow thrower!
Glad you got it back. There are only one or two I wish could get back... come to think of it, I've only sold one or two!

I recently got back a 19-4 that I let slip away, and I'm glad I got it back! That's a sweet 28-2 you've got there.

Some time back I found my 629 4 in no dash that I bought new and sold off . I looked at in the gun shop and left and got to thinking on it and not many folks around here buy a 4 inch 44, checked back and it was my old one I bought new , dished out 629 bucks took it home .

I'm still here, at least . Let me get those old Photobucket links cleaned up so the pictures can be seen. I probably shouldn't have promised not to re-sell that Model 28, though.

Beautiful HP. I’m glad you got it back. I’d love to find mine. It’s been about 16 years since I last seen mine.

Although I did promise not to re-sell the revolver, it is indeed long gone (this thread is actually now ten years old). If it's any consolation, it was to help pay for my lifetime holy grail pistol—an original Bren Ten.
