Perfection found, or is that "created"?

Today was range day
Shot 50 rounds of home brew 210gr LSWC behind a healthy dose of SR4756. It shot to POA just like before. I did swap the Catalin stocks out for Pachmayr Compact Professional's.
Warm sunny weather with a gusty breeze was a welcome change from the recent rain. Not a bad way to spend a Friday morning with your co-workers

That is stunning! Well done I say. I too would like to know who did the work. I have a 57 that someone chopped the barrel down on and didn’t recrown it properly, and then there’s the off center roll mark. I’ve given up on finding a replacement barrel, and after seeing yours, I know what I want to do to it. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

You are in the right state...you could drive to Ford's
Please do share pics of your project when it gets done. In my mind, I am seeing a Jovino-esque creation Maybe hard chrome?

Scott,
Knew it would be a shooter, good that it still shoots POA. I am headed over to teach at the academy for a week, on my lunch hour I am going to run some rounds through my “shooter” 58. Hornady is going to be on deck Wednesday to demonstrate their tap rounds in various flavors. I am going to shoot some various 41’s into their gelatin for grins.
Glad you were able to get out on the range with your “new” 58.

How's the muzzle blast with full loads from that short barrel?
Maybe the flash and bang will scare your opponent to death or make him flee...

I was actually hoping you’d say Ford’s, but being in TX, I figured it would be someone in your neck of the woods. I had them do a Master Blue finish on my birth year 14-1 for me and was really taken aback by their quality of work and attention to detail. Here’s a pic of the 14-1 next to the 57. Bubba really did a job on the barrel and sight. It’s an early S-serial# first year and the frame is in excellent condition. When I bought it, I really thought finding a barrel would be easy, but they are as rare as hen’s teeth it seems.
