25-2 Twins
I just traded for another 25-2. I was looking them over an noticed that the one that I had has S/N N6563XX. The one that I just traded into has S/N N6562XX. The guns are 117 numbers apart. How common is that? Both guns came in wooden presentation cases. Would the guns have been built in the same production run? If any of you have twins how close are the S/N's.
Here is S/N N6563XX.

I can top that. I had a BRNO Mauser sporter made in 1949 serial 34630 (notice how I don't worry about posting serial numbers?) that was stolen in 1986. Still hoping it might come home some day but not holding my breath. Last year I saw one just like it on Gunbroker and bought it. Serial is 34635, just 5 higher than the stolen one.

The Twins
"I don't see how they could be any better looking in person... "
You'll just have to trust me on that. Jim
BTW Curtis--I don't remember that "had to talk him into buying them" part--or you helping me out on the domestic counseling either. Seems to me I've done a lot more "talking him into it" in your direction, or at least trying to.

625s too
Scott-
I have quite a few 25s besides the twins, and a few 625s. We're a sick bunch of .45 wheel gunners.

I'll bet he's glad you convinced him. I have saved them to my picters file, probably as close as I will ever get to something like that. But I do have a pair of 25-2's, but not twins, but I'm greatful to have them. I'm the one who is looking to convert a 25-5 to fire .45 ACP's with moon clips. You can see what I learned with your help under converting 25- 5 to .45ACP. thanks, Flapjack.

Bill--
Very Nice--please explain the accessories--especially the silver "button " looking things in the left section. Never seen a case or "trimmin's" like that before.

Steve...the case and accessories were made for the pair by Marvin Huey who has his shop in Lawrence, KS. The silver items are actually gold, but appear silver in the photo. They are an oil bottle (can) and a patch box. The other accessories are by J. Purdey & Sons, London, England (supplied by Marvin Huey).
Marvin Huey has a website you can Google and probably find easily.
Mr. Huey is probably the premier case maker in the U. S. and has been for many years.

Thanks Bill,
That case really is exquisite ---a gold oil bottle with Purdey tools--don't know how you could possibly ask for anything better.
