Model 57 no dash 4" Nickel price check
What would be a fair price for one in about 98% condition with no box. Thanks in advance, Greg

If it has the original stocks I'd give $525-$600.

If I saw one for sale here, which I haven't, I would expect to see $650 and UP to the heavens...

98% and nickle I'd expect to see at least $650 and wouldn't be surprised at $800.

I agree 'cause it has two things going for it, nickel and 4". They made a much smaller percentage in nickel and the same goes for 4" N frames, except the model 28.

Thanks all. This one is $625. Sounds like a fair price, but not a steal.

$625 is a pretty good deal for a 4" P&R N frame.

The last 4" nickel 57 I saw around here was about a year ago. It was very nice example complete with presentation case. I was about to say I'd take it, but then I got a closer look at the price tag that was marked $1 650.00 and noticed the 1 over by the dollar sign. I handed the gun back to the gentleman, said thank you, and slowly backed away with my tail between my legs.
You did alright at $625. If I could find one in the ~$600 range I'd be happy.

Little late but 700.00 in that condition. Great investment IMO.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I am supposed to go get it tomorrow evening. $600 for it and two boxes of Winchester Silvertip ammo. We'll see.

Got it. It has a very faint turn ring on the cylinder, and a small chip on the bottom of the butt. No flame cutting, tight, and slick as a whistle. I think 98% was an accurate description. I'm happy with it. Thanks again for the help.

I agree with these two guys. Not all handguns are the same or can be evaluated by description. Caliber, finish, condition, scarcity and collectability all have to be considered. I believe these two posts are on the mark...

You need a set of Executioner's stag stocks for that #57.
