Default 35-1 price help

I bought a 35-1 in excellent shape over the weekend. It came with the origional box, paperwork & the origional sales receipt.

I got it home & started taking a good look at it and decided that it's in too nice of shape to turn into a shooter/plinking pistol.

I'd rather sell/trade it to a collector, does anyone have an idea of what this pistol might be worth. I really don't have any idea.

Default Price help

I have two model 35's collected over 40 years. One is close to yours in condition, the other I picked up summer of 2009 from a forum member. It is a shooter grade and my favorite. Be patient and you will get a good price or trade for what you can use. My guess after seeing model 34's NIB going for $600 and up and K22's -17's in same condition bringing a bit more at the local shows, a cash price of $700-750 perhaps more, would not be out of line. The 35 is by far the hardest J frame S&W to come across. It shows to be really clean,it's a .22 and it has box and papers, all +++'s. Best of luck.

P. S.What are you looking for? I have many NIB older Colt's and S&W"s as well as some rare and NIB long guns. I would be willing to do a trade. I guess I have a weakness for the 35

The Cabelas in Buda, Texas has two very nice M-35s for sale. Guns only. one is flat latch and diamond grips the other is a later gun with no diamonds. They are asking $1050 each I believe. I bought my new in the box M-35 years ago for $400 and i wouldn't take $1000 for it.

FWIW - David Carroll has three listed on his website and all are 'ANIB' condition. The range is $1050-1150.

Thank you for the help. I looked on line & saw the one that cabela's had for sale along with two others on gunsamerica.

Their prices were so far off from what the blue book said, I didn't know what to make of the prices.

The pistol doesn't have the tools that came with it. Other than that, it's extremely clean. I just don't want to turn it into a shooter. I have 2 k-22's, a 4 & 5 screw, that I use for shooters right now.

I'm a big fan of 22's in general, lately I've been collecting rifles. Some of the rifles that I've been looking for are the clasic sporters. Remingtons 541-s, kimber of oregon super america, cooper57. I've also been looking for 3p rifles, namely the remington 40x and anschutz 54 match in the 1600 series.

Again, thank you for your help. At least I have an idea of what I have.

Nah, try finding a Chiefs Special Target (2" model 36 with target sights) made in a couple of short runs in the late 1950s, and mid 1960s!! (that
s a 3" 36-1 Chiefs Special Target behind the 2", made in 1975)

Default Model 35-2 hard to find J frame

I should have qualified my " Rarest of the lot J frame" by adding in .22LR. I do know there are some un-common ones in other calibers especially with adjustable sights and/or rare barrels. When I read members posts of $1000-1100 35's currently for sale I feel very comfortable with my 80-85% shooter, perfect bore and lock up at $450 bought last year.
