Default I am looking for the born on date for my 19-4

Hello,

I just received a 19-4 from GB, sn# 41K9xxx with a 6" barrel. It has honest working wear on the muzzle, cylinder, distinct drag mark on the cylinder, but no dings, rust, or abuse.

If someone would please provide the born on date, I would be much obliged.

One other question, when did S&W stop numbering the grips? The ones on it are only dated.

Thanks

Can't give you a date, but it was born in either 1978 or 1979.
