A good friend loaded another 200 rounds for me for Christmas.
So now I have 850 .41 Magnum rounds.
I only have one .41 Mag to shoot, my M58.
And here's the problem. I have an outdoor range.

I would disagree, I think your biggest problem is you don't reload for yourself?

I'm good. I have no interest in reloading.
My friend has been doing it for about 50 years so I'll just keep letting him do it for me. He likes it.

My point was you could talor rounds to your particular handgun? Find it's sweet spot, if you will.

I seriously doubt that I'm good enough to do that.
I'm no tack driver.
I'm just happy to hit 8" paper plates at 100 ft more times than not.

It’s official!
It’s official...that I’ve now joined the unofficial 58 club. I’ve been looking for an S-serial 58 for awhile and came across this one at the Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club gun show this morning. Asking price was $850, which seemed reasonable compared to other early specimens I’ve seen recently. I ended up trading a 57 no dash N-serial nickel 6” for it, so I think I did ok. I mean, the nickel 57 looked good in the safe, but having a solid shooter grade 58 sounded better. Here she is with her new sister, my M57 no dash S-serial 4”. The serial on the M58 is S260xxx, which should put it in early 1965.

Good trade.
I traded my 6' M57 with a few other guns for a nice pre-27 but I kept my M58.

Long ago, in a place far away from where I am now...I had a buddy who had rigged a throne at the end of his place into the perfect indoor/outdoor range/hunting blind. His throne faced a small window at just the right height to be opened a few inches, and his handgun of choice rested on the sill... depending on season, there was a deer feeder (legal where he was at), or some steel swinging plates. In any weather, he could be seated comfortably, do his business and take of bidness at the same time. I did not judge him, it suited his needs and physical limitations at the time
I bet that you and that 58 will be old pals by the time you run all those rounds down the pipe Happy shooting sir!
