(Pictures added below) Are present values the same?
I'm looking at buying a K-frame from a friend of mine. He has both a 19-2 & 19-3 available. They are in similar (95ish%) condition and they are priced the same, $385. I may get them both, but is one more valuable/desired than the other?

Given equal condition, older will usually be worth more than newer, but at those prices definitely buy both.

Fourth to the party on the buy both @ that price.
A gun shop in my neck of the woods has $499 on a couple of model 19's that spent a lot of time in a cop's holster by their looks. You are getting a very good deal.

Buy both. If you decide you like one better than the other you can always get your money back plus a little interest in the future by selling one.

What he said. Then the one you keep will be an even better deal.

Last show I was at, not more than a minute in the door a guy showed a mint blue 4" 19-3; wanted $400 cash. Since it was early I told him I'd probably buy it later. Never got the chance. Get both for $750 and then buy lunch. Joe

So here is what happened.
When I went to pick up both Model 19s, my friend informed me that he had a change of heart and couldn't part with both. So I just bought the 19-2 for a slightly lower price of $375.
I was pretty happy about my purchase, but my friend felt bad that he had changed the deal on me at the last minute. He said that if I still wanted to buy two revolvers his co-worker was thinking about selling "some kind of handgun". He was willing to give him a call.
So to cut to the chase, I bought a really nice 4" 19-2 for $375 and a minty 4" 66-1 for $395. I'd like all of my deals to fall apart like that.
Sorry about the glare in the pictures. The revolvers look better in person.

My advice is go buy a lottery ticket before you use up all your luck buying revolvers.
Beautiful Diamond grip 4 screw combat Magnum and Model 66-1.
Congrats
