Price check on 2-inch Model 10
I found a decent 2-inch Model 10 (dash 5 I believe) in about 80-85%, the grips are not original but everything else is in order. Is $300 alot for these? I am used to seeing 4-inch guns, 2 inchers are not my thing in these guns.

David;
80 to 85% would be the deciding factor for me. If it's truly an 80 to 85% original finish gun with aftermarket grips, I'd imagine $300 a bit high. Not over the top mind you, maybe $50 or so. I'd suggest you make an offer. It's difficult to estimate value without a photo, but an 80% gun could be pretty beat. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Hi David;
Sure seems at the very tip top of an asking price to me. The Model 10 snub does have a limited following though, just enough to make specimens generally bring a small premium.
If you can land a 2-inch Model 10 at a good price though you'll be well pleased. Oh my but those things can shoot well! One of the best kept secrets of the realm of really useful concealed carry revolvers is the Model 10 snub.

No offense intended, but the company made quite a few 2 inch barrel M&P's and post 1957 Model 10's. They are not particularly rare or scarce, unless you chase the very early models in 2 inch barrels. The dash 5 production numbers were made in a fair amount, so there is no particular value or premium attached to them.

Here is a couple of M10-5 2" pics that I picked up from Summitgunbroker.com 6 months ago for $265. It would give you an idea and the $265 price was good. It is a little rough and couple old small rust spots.
