Default Model 49 action job

This gun is from the late 70,s and has been fired a lot so it is well broke in. I bought it new and now my brother in law has owned it for several years and wants to use it as a CCW gun in Nebraska. He would like a action job and maybe the trigger surface round and polished. He,s in Omaha. What should I tell him to do. Best bang for the buck. He,s not a do it yourself gunsmith type.

I have also been looking for a good source to send a K frame for basic action job so am interested in where this thread will go.

If you want any kind of tuning or tweeking for 1911-type pistol there are too many folks to choose from. I am not finding the same to be true for S&W revolvers.

Default S & W Pistolsmith

One of the best pistolsmiths in the country is Teddy Jacobson. He does outstanding action work. His
website is: Actions By T - Teddy Jacobson Pistolsmith.

Chances are if the gun has been shot a lot he won't notice an action job too much. Polishing the trigger is a good investment usually.Best bang for the buck, buy ammo, shoot said ammo have fun with the gun son!!!
