Do yah feel lucky? Well,do yah...
Interesting auction on ”that gun auction site.” An unopened sealed cardboard box the seller states contains a 29-2 6.5” 44 mag. Certainly one of my grail guns. The only thing you can go by are the radiology images. I have no affiliation with the sale, but was curious would you take the chance?

Apparently the seller is banking on the market value of unbroken vintage packing tape.... Must be he thinks it would be similar in value to a 1986 ATC250r still in the crate?
No thanks....on both counts

If transferred through an FFL, the revolver will be taken out of the box to verify the serial number. Sounds like a flaky deal. Might be a fake revolver in there.

Ridiculous as others have said it will be taken out of the box to verify the serial number. At $7950.00 no way on planet earth I would touch that one.

This one sold on Oct 8th in the sealed box for $5025. And it's a completed auction, so here's the link. The guy that bought it was talking about it on the S&W Facebook page. Some folks didn't hesitate to say he was nuts.

Very true! Remember that "brand new" 1957 Plmouth they dug up in Oklahoma ten years ago? I almost cried when I saw what had happened to it. And yes, I understand this gun wasn't buried in the ground, but still....
