Default Mr. Jordan meet Mr. Dixon.

I went to the range today with an odd pair. I reload just about every pistol caliber but what got me started reloading was this model 1874 Shiloh Sharps in .40-65 Winchester. Today I set up the Dillon XL650 for .38 Special and loaded a bunch of copper plated wad cutters to test in my Nickel model 19. Whilst doing so I decided to bring out the old girl and shoot a few 400gr. Snover BPCR loads. I enjoyed both firearms, it was great fun!

I have a Pedersoli Sharps replica in .40-65. Love ringing steel at 300+ yards with it.

As did Bill Jordan. A pair of highly respected folks in their respective eras.

I have a 40-65 Remington Rolling Block that is off at the Gunsmith getting a proper set of sights. I am anxiously waiting the return.

Is your RB a reproduction or an original? My first centerfire rifle was a .43 Spanish carbine. I currently have a .22 LR #4, a .32 rimfire #4 (I am converting this one to .32 S&W Long), a Uberti .357 carbine and a .43 Spanish rifle.

Mine is an original that was originally chambered in 7mm Mauser, that was rebarrled.
