not sure of model 36 age
I INHERITED MY FATHER MODEL 36 THAT HE RECEIVED UPON RETIREMENT AFTER 30 YEARS SERVICE AS A POLICE OFFICER. NICKEL PLATED? NO. 45208 WITH AN H STAMP ABOVE THE 8. HE WAS A POLICE CHIEF SO WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN MORE APPROPRIATE.
IS IT +P SAFE?
THIS A SUPER SITE, THANKS TO ALL

Welcome to the Forum.
If there is no J in front of that number it was made in about 1953 or 1954. If there is a J it was made in 1971 or 1972.
I will assume that number is off the bottom of the butt.
Hope this helps.
Jim

8082 with no letter would put it at about 1952.
I would advise against using +Ps in it.
