10-5 2" Gun show find
There was a show up north, Loveland, that I'd not been to before, so I figured I'd run up and see what was there.
I saw this, looked it over, figured I'd finish my rounds and get it on the way back. I set it down, the next person in line picked it up. I told him if he was thinking about it jump now, cause I was coming back for it. He put it down and the next guy picked it up. After he set it back down, that's it, no more, I'll take it !
10-5 snubby, sn D320xxx, stocks are numbered to the gun.
I could use some help dating this. Non diamond magnas started in 1968, 10-7 in 1977 according to the catalog so I'm figuring closer to the latter. Looks better in person then my ****** pics.
I also got to fondle a near perfect M&P transition model W/ a 5" barrel, sn S88xxxx, I was glad I don't collect 5"

I share your joy - because I found this 10-5 a few years ago like new in the box. Round butt and nickeled to boot! Great guns.

John, it was your "The forgotten .38 snubby" thread and that nickle 10-5 2" that got me lusting after one of my own. Wish I could have found a round butt, maybe next time.
Which reminds me, I've got a Tyler T-grip around here somewhere I've been saving for my next .38. It was going to go on my new to me nickle 10-7, but I haven't found the correct grips for it yet.

I've learned the hard way. Do NOT put it down and figure you will come back for it later, if you really want it. If the price is right, it won't be there.
Nice find.

You have to love the 10-5 snub--accurate, dependable, and great looking. Clean lines. The classic detective carry for decades. I love mine, now in Don Collins birdseye maple. (I've posted this before, but I think it's worth another run.)

And if you run out of ammo, you can bring the rear corner of that square butt right down on a violent felon's head.
Growing up, I liked the RB better. Now, I like the SB better. It fits my hand better, and I think it looks better.
I have a hankering for a 10-5 snub and a 15-3 snub.
