Just picked up a beautiful 66-1 from a forum member. The box indicates Target grips and the set on the gun are targets, but they have a speed loader cutout. Could these be the original grips-they do look age appropriate? I am not sure if they were making the targets with the cutouts back when they were turning out the 66-1's. No big deal, but was just wondering.....they're coming off anyway for a set of magnas and a T.

Thanks guys-I took the grips off and they were date stamped 12-15-1982.
Man-the more I handle this little gem, the more I like it. P&R-tight as a drum, VERY little use, box, tools ALL the paperwork, the only thing missing is the original wax paper. This is one fine little 4" 66!!
A BIG shoutout to ya Dana a really great gun!!!!! And the 317-1 ain't too shabby either ;)

They are great guns... carried one for several years from '80 until we were issued 686's. Mine is 42K90XX, circa '78/'79, so it still has "footballs".

Enjoy your "new" gun!
