29-2 and 27-2 pawn shop find
well, today was my day off figured i'd hit a pawn shop i like.well long story short, he just put out a 29-2 and 27-2,both 8 3/8 barrels, with presentation cases and tools,29 had the paperwork, and vapor paper,i'd say the 27 is 98-99 %,the 29 is minty as well but with a small mark here and there.the 29 had some crummy pachs.on it ,i had some targets stocks,so now they are both dressed and beautiful.
could someone tell me what they are going for these days,i here the -2's are desireable, but not so much the long tube.
i know u want pics,i can send some to someone from my iphone if they want to post,i'm still waiting for my teacher to post pics via ,camara,to computer.
any info on these guys would be welcomed,i think they are both 3 screws w/ n ser. num.

Prices on 29-2's are nuts! Prices seem to very in different parts of the country. IMHO, a 98% 29-2 with an N prefixed serial number in a presentation case with tools and papers is a $750 to $900 gun. I see them as high as $1600 with a lot of them more than a grand! The 4 inch barrels seem to be more desirable and may sell quicker. I personally like the long barrels.
The 27-2 is likely a $100 or so less.

Wow. Travis Bickle paid $500 for his M-29 thirty five years ago and all he got extra was a shoulder holster made in Mexico. You done great.

Okay, good deal.
But, if you hadn't been drooling all over yourself & falling on your knees, do you think you could have done a little better than -$9 + tax from his asking price?

OK people remain calm! The local sherrif is on his way to collect the remaining $800.00 balance due the seller.
And I thought I had gotten a deal. Details will not follow.
Congratulations, for the rest of your life this bargain will not be repeated and will haunt you forever.

Sounds like a buy one get one free?
You did very well. At those prices it probably would have been worth the airfare and the TSA grope and then have them shipped back to Missouri via FFL.

Sometimes the stars simply align. Unfortunately for me it's usually before or after I walk into the gun shop
Congrats on a PAIR of nice finds!
