29-2. It's been around the block a time or two. Had it since it was new.

I believe that I like this one the best. While I'm not deliberately hard on guns I really really try NOT to treat them like a museum piece. Wear and tear is good for firearms made of wood and steel. That is, if you want to have stories to go along with the gun and not just how much you spent on it and how you babied it.
Nuances in the finish left over from a useful life on a man's hip are better than pristine condition.
I effin' love that 29 and thanks for showing it!

My modest contribution, a 625JM and my beloved 27-3. I've put thousands of magnum rounds through the 27, have had to correct some endshake, but it's still ticking and is by far the most accurate handgun I own. No collector's item but my favorite handgun.

Some custom eye candy for you all...
My version of what a 5th Model HE should have been. In calibers 45 Colt and 41 Magnum (on Model 58s), and 45 S&W and 44 Special (on Model 520s).
A Model 657 6" cut to 4" by Austin Behlert many years ago. Has so many rounds through it the factory had to set the barrel back one turn and remachine the face of the cylinder to remove B/C flash erosion. Oddly enough there is no flame cutting of the top strap.
All grips are Spegel Extended Boot Grips with his checkering.
