Information needed for S&W 33-1
I have enjoyed reading many of the posts in this forum and I have learned a lot already. I will post pictures of some of my guns and I would like feedback from the experts here as to the model # or name & change, approximate year built, condition %, any ideas of rarity or desirability, approximate value range, and any other helpful comments. Also where to buy ammo, Thanks.
S&W Model 33-1 .38 S&W CTG, 4” Blue, Ser. # R30363 with box (age ?)
Regards,
Rich King

R30363 should be about 1970 - 71. I don't know about values on M33s and I reload so can't help much on where to buy ammo. What I do buy usually just comes from Wally world.
As for condition, it looks to be a nice 97% to me.

Very nice! Not up on current prices but two years ago bought a NIB 33-1 with the diamond center grips for $375.00. Any gunshop can order ammo for yours but prepare for sticker shock, it's a bit on the pricey side. I reload for mine and its not NIB any more! Enjoy yours.
