Those are 2 gorgeous HP’s, I wish my 4 inch was in such good shape, but then I probably would not shoot her very week! There is something to be said about the no-nonsense finish on a model 28.

I have a four inch 28 and shoot it occasionally with handloads. I have been thinking on carry it as a field gun.

I am just the opposite of 69Hemi-R/T. I have a four inch, but do not have a 6 inch. Great looking Smiths, there.

As a field gun, I think a 4" HP is hard to beat. I put on a Hogue monogrip, and it tames recoil from even the most stout 357 loads.

Sweet pair in the pic though. It makes me really want a 6" to go with the 4 inch. Thanks for sharing!

What he said. I am glad I found my 6" no-dash 28 and think (actually I KNOW) it needs a 4" companion. For now it has to make do keeping company with a 6" 25 and a 6" 27. There is a 4" .45 Colt Mountain Revolver in the safe though.
