Question nickel finish on model 12

I'm thinking of getting a model 12 with nickel finish...to use and carry. Will this hold up on the alloy frame?

I carried a m-37 in nickel finish for several years. In an inside the waist band holster behind my cuff case (uniform back up), in an ankle holster (several variations) and in a plastic clamshell (similar to the polymers today) and all I had was some scratches to the finish. for what it's worth, I was known as being a bit hard on my equipment so I think it did fine. And yes, I did shoot it quite a bit. It was light for carry and recoil was strong but I could control it well enough so I stayed with the air weight till I went into industry. (industry provided arms and did not allow personal).
