That's gorgeous!! Some folks refer to that holster style as Texas Jock Strap.

IMHO that is the nicest Floral carving I've seen on leather.

Thanks guys for the kudos. I would like to think this tradition carries on but I sometime wonder. Kinda like a lot of things----"It ain't like it used to be".

is there a scratch on that gun or is that just a hair that you left on accidentally before the the photo?
the one that goes from the top strap all the way to the trigger guard:

Kavinsky,
You have a very good eye. I did not notice that in the pics. It almost looks symetric like a left side plate or something? I just went and got it out of the safe. It was a dog hair (my dog) and before I got it to the bench I swear I thought it was a scratch. But it came off. Good eye my man. My heart skipped a beat for a sec. Thanks for your observation and thanks to all for the kind post.
Regards
Bill

You should be ashamed of yourself so blatantly showing off!! Can't blame you even just a little bit though. Gawd, that is nice!

I don't know of any makers today that can match the skills
of Myres, Heiser & other old time leather artists.
There may well be some but I don't run across them.
Great looking Myres rig,Bill.

Turnerriver,
Thanks for the kudos. I have seen quite a few of your rigs and you and I are sure singing off the same page about Myres and Heiser. You really have some beautiful holsters on your album. I sold several of mine recently but still have a few more you haven't seen yet. Will post soon now that I am a picture posting expert.
Thanks again and,
regards
Bill
