DOB M57 no dash
Just picked up a six inch model 57 s/n N145XXX and wondered about when it was built. Anybody venture some info?

Well first, SCofS&W shows that serial numbers:
N100000 through N199999 shipped in 1973.
I happen to love the .41 mags. Can be expensive to shoot if you do not reload. But I love my 4" M57. Congrats on the find.

N145XXX dates to 1974.

Thank you Gentlemn. Yes I do reload, and it still gets expensive feeding the big bores. Shoot the 41 in an old moel blackhawk also.
