67-1 question
I stopped by the gun counter at a LGS and they have a 67-1 in the case but I'm confused. The S&W book shows the 24K S/N as a 1977 vintage so the pinned barrel is correct but the trigger and hammer look like MIM parts to me. They're an even dull matte gray color. Shouldn't they be case hardened or does this sound right for this vintage?

That gun is more likely from early 1979. The hammer & trigger are not MIM parts. The stainless guns of that period did not ship with case hardened hammers & triggers, but rather flash chromed. And yes that is what is supposed to be on the gun.

Yep. What KEN L said. And, I will add,....BUY IT if the price is right. A finer stainless .38 spl. you will not find.....!

If I recall, the innards of the gun are also flash chromed making it extremely smooth and the need for a drop or two of oil is a mere afterthought.
