Default 27-2 18-3

Well I put some target grips on the 27-2, these have been refinished by yours truly so nothing great but they will do. The 18-4 I bought about a month or so ago at a gun show, it had been re-blued and had the wrong hammer (K22 from a old 5 screw), had combat grips on it they were cool but the re-blue was kind of a sloppy job. I have since put the grips on a different gun. The original smith when prepping the gun for re-blue buffed the side plate pretty hard and the S&W was a bit washed out. So I found another side plate on eBay and went to work on removing the old blue on the entire gun. I have a close friend who is a fantastic gunsmith and I get to watch him work so I kinda knew how to remove the old blueing and get the gun prepped correctly so the new blueing would look as good as we could get it. I change out the hammer and found some magna grips. I think it turned out pretty good.

You sir have 2 of the finest revolvers ever built. Love them 27's and who doesn't love the 17 and 18's? Your grips look very nice on the 27. Did you spray them or hand rub?
