Model 57, 4 inch
Here is a model 57, 4 inch I recently picked up, serial number S 299638. I really enjoy loading and shooting the 41's and this one shoots and functions great.

Very nice. You just can't beat the looks of those old four inch N frame guns. Great find.

jubela, What a Beauty! Watch out for that barbed wire! I am thinking about a N frame myself, but the right thing has not come along. I have bought 3 k frames this year. Enjoy your fine gun! Bob

What a great looking M57! This gives me an excuse, like I need one, to post a pic of my M57 with Kuracs on it. Not nearly as old as yours, and not the classic blue finish.
M57 no dash, 4" nickel

Beautiful guns! I need one and I handload...they're pricey here in the people's republic of IL unfortunately.

That depends on condition, barrel length, finish, etc.

I don't think I would have too much trouble adjusting to one of those. I just hope it doesn't get difficult to find ammo for it.

I'm new to SW collecting. Could someone give me a ballpark price for a 4 inch model 57 no dash, 98\% condition, with wood box? Thanks!

As described, 98%, (assuming blued gun), correct stocks, presentation case. (tools?), would sell on Gunbroker probably between $850 to $1100.
Hope this helps.
