I have a model 53 with both 22 lr and 22 Jet cylinders. I do not have the instruction manual and can not figure out how to swap the cylinders. Can anyone give me some guidance on making this swap?

nuke56 - Welcome to the Forum!
It is quite easy - with the proper screwdriver, remove the sideplate screw underneath the cylinder.
Now, open the cylinder and then slide the entire crane and cylinder forward and out of frame.
Next, separate the cylinder assembly and crane by sliding them apart in opposite directions.
Now exchange cylinders w/ reversed procedure.

Don't forget to flip the switch on the hammer to shoot rimfires...
