Beautiful revolver and great pictures. I would keep it as is and buy another one to shoot. There are plenty around at reasonable prices, but there are much fewer in your package's condition.

A really nice package -- and great pics.
Keep it "as is" and buy a "shooter".

Boats are made to float, planes are made to fly, and guns are made to shoot. Is the line ready? FIRE!

I am curious - anyone know why there is a fluted screw driver packaged with a Model 10? I thought these only were put in with models that had adjustable sights. In any event, this is a really nice Model 10!

Beautiful gun! I bought a six inch not long ago and it is one of my favorites. Of course, I shoot it.

If I ran across a model 10 that pristine, I would wait until a shooter grade became available. Super nice find!!!

I agree with samandglove1, savor this one and find another to shoot. Any 3 digit Smith in unfired condition should stay that way, IMHO.

Maybe the same tool package went with any 38/357 of that barrel length?
If the cylinder face is still spotless,I wouldn't shoot it either. That is a very nice m&p.

No improvements possible - on the quality of your photos or the quality of that revolver - congrats.

Stunning, gun & pics! I bought a Browning A 5 Magnum once supposedly used. I always wanted one to shoot because a hunting friend had 1 similar. I really liked his gun. I do further research, and find the one that I purchased was unfired! It had the choke tube label on the barrel, and the shipping goop in the barrel. I never shot that gun in the 5 years in my possesion. I still look at them now and then. To me a weapon that is too nice to shoot, is not one I'll buy again.
Bud's has 10's for $269. Enjoy your beautiful gun regardless of you do with it! Bob

Thanks for all the comments guys. I think I will keep it unfired for now. I know I can get a good shooter for half of what this cost me.
BTW, the serial number is 6 digits - I photoshopped the last 3 digits out - still not sure why

That is a real beauty, however, these things are meant to be shot. Take care of it and it will shoot and look beautiful forever.

Beautiful model 10. If I was mean I would call it a "pencil barrel" to make saxonpig mad.

I love 6" 10's!
I have a 6" 10-5 made in 1971 that is pure shooter grade condition, but it's one of the sweetest shooting revolvers I own.
